Sarah's Take: Jim Leyritz
In June the Los Angeles Dodgers acquired Jim Leyritz from the world champion New York Yankees for Jose Vizcaino. Known for his World Series heroics, Leyritz had some game-winning pinch hits. In 41 games for the Dodgers he batted .200 with a home run and eight RBI. Defensively he was a catcher, first baseman and a left fielder, and he did satisfactorily. His season ended early with a torn rotator cuff. At 36 Leyritz is a free agent, and it is doubtful that the Dodgers will re-sign him.
